Live For Speed Drift Community Forum

Hey guys!

First off, I would like to say thank you to everyone who decided to stop by and help LFSd community grow. You guys rock!

LFSdrift.net is a community. I don't think I should need to point out what game we play and what we do, but just in case. We play LFS (Live for speed, found at www.liveforspeed.net) and we like to take corners the fancy way (drifting).


When this forum originated, I went to my closest LFS friends and I asked them to help me out with it. Main guy I went to is Keitaro, who I've known from LFS S1 DEMO days. He has become one of the greatest drifters and one of the best photoshoppers around LFS community. He's skill has grown along with his popularity and he's also part of one of the best LFS teams, Saiko^D. From there we worked our way and gotten a few other key members to this forum such as Keith, Mic, kis, sii.. etc.

I've been talking with Kei about the forum and the purpose of it. I do not want to have a forum where its just talk and no purpose. I would like to have a forum where people are actually interested in helping the LFS community and others to get a chance to be part of a project or event in LFS.

I do not want to hear about LFSd that is being run by Proton or Kei or anyone else. LFSd is a community which means that the PEOPLE make the community. Of course in all gatherings there has to be some admins and mods to make sure things do not get out of control. But LFSd is going to be a community for LFSdrifters.



The Gallery
At the top of your navigation bar you should see a "GALLERY" button.
One of LFSdrift.net's aim is to have one of the best galleries with the best pictures.
But in order to have the best pictures we need to have some of the best Photoshoppers. The gallery upload is not open to Registered Members, we do have a group called "LFSd Artists" and that has privileges to upload pictures to the Gallery. We will have events, votes, competitions, etc. for people to get a chance to be a LFSd Artist.



Awards/Contest
Awards and Contests to LFS Photoshoppers (Corel Draw, Gimp, mspaint, whatever you want). We will pick an image (High Quality with AA and AF) and you guys will have a chance to edit and submit your edited image. The votes will be done through a public vote by the LFSd Community (one vote per member). We will have winning prizes ranging from 1:30 minute LFS movie, Custom coded layouts, LFSd goodies (such as extra stars by your name, award icons). LFSd Artists, if we get popular enough, we might possibly get sponsored to give out a LFS License, but all in time.



LFSd Drift Competitions
This is one of the things I'm sure you guys will love. LFSd competitions are going to be alot of fun. We are going to have alot of competitions on AutoX but also on normal tracks. Luckily for us, keepitSIDEWAYS (some of you know him as KIS) has decided to help LFSd with layouts for competitions. I'm sure most of you know and love KIS's tracks as they are being drifted on alot of servers. But besides having one of the best layout designers, each competitions will be detailed. What does that mean? Well everyone who will be part of the competition will be added to the competition video, raw screenshots, edited screenshots, pretty much "feature" everyone in the competition. We would like you guys to go like "Oh LFSd competition? check out the video im in it!!!"



LFS Paradox
This is possibly one of the fewest videos that racers and drifters loved. LFS Paradox is going to be a part of LFSd. The sign up thread/works/updates will be posted on LFSd forums. You guys will get a chance to share some ideas for the movie, and be part of it. As you guys seen there are around 20 scenes in LFS Paradox.. and each one needs like 2-3 cars. So I will try to get each scene with different people, to get more people involved in this project.
Project currently canceled due to Youtube's WMG.


Tutorials
As you guys have seen, there is a tutorial section. Another one of LFSd's branches is detailed tutorials to help out new photoshoppers develop their skills. I've personally written a few tutorials, but we happen to have some of the best Photoshoppers such as Keith and Keitaro who are willing to help out the LFSd community as well. You guys can read/comment and also request tutorials. If anyone would like to add something cool a tip or a tutorial, they are free to do it. This is a community where we help eachother.


So if you guys have read so far you might've picked up on the general idea that you guys make the community. One by one we help eachother out and we're going to have fun. This community is not meant for people to come here and have a bad time, or to hate on racers, if thats what you're looking for, please do not come to LFSdrift.net, it will just end in a ban.

I want you guys to come here because you want to be part of LFSd, and we can all make this place a cool little place for us to have some fun.
