Email Issue
« on: January 06, 2012, 10:21:20 AM »
Last year in September I started getting emails referring to me as someone else who was signing up to services and I thought it was spam..

However I got an email from Play.com giving me account information.. I hadn't signed up so I logged in to see what was happening, and someone has used my email to sign up there, they left there bank account details in there and address etc along with their phone number. I contacted Play.com and they eventually removed the account.

In the past month he has signed up to bank loans and a BT Broadband account where again, I have the account details. I have checked and it is definately not spam, I have sent an email to his new BT email address but he hasnt responded and I fear he wont because I have his account details through my email.

What should I do about this situation? Should I ring his phone number which I have or is that too personal? Maybe write a letter as I have his address? Should I contact BT?

I have changed my password several times over the few months and he isnt getting access to my email account.

My email is very simple as some of you may know (nath@live.co.uk).

Any advice? Thanks for reading.

I would contact him maybe first with a letter as you said , since he wont reply to your emails .
And if that doesn't work , I would not keep it too personal to give him a call , if his still using same email address . I would do this way :)
