If you can save up a bit extra, the HD5770 is awesome (what i'm using). Pretty much the best card you can get for the money (or it was about 3 month's back).  Otherwise yeah, the 5670 is a winner. ATI are doing good cards at the low/mid end of the market atm. Nvidia seem to be interested in making cards that can double up as a cooker (they run hoottttt).

imo there is a new GFX card comming this month if im right and that is the one that he should buy.
dont remember the right name tho but Kamikaze said something about it also when he said his pc spec´s in a thread.

the ATi Radeon HD 5870    is a clocked version of 5850 and is not even worth putting money on cause u can clock the same card to alomst the same spec´s that 5870 has.. why pay for something u can do ur self ? ;)

it was the GTX580 as i remember, but i wouldn't buy Nvidia  ???

Nvidia got the best single gpu solution around yet, it beats the 5970(dual gpu) with the DX11 features on (ie tessellation), nvidia manage DX11 MUCH better than ATI, not saying that to influence Maxim's choice but i'm fed up of people posting biased opinion cause Both AMD/ATI and Nvidia got good points and bad points both are equally good at the end of the day, depend on your machine.

He was also talking about the HD 6xxx serie. Which manage DX11 better than the previous serie.

The AMD/ATI cards posted above are all good solution.

If you have an AMD/ATI chipset based motherboard pick AMD/ATI (you can hybrid crossfire with the onboard) if you have an Nvidia chipset based motherboard pick Nvidia, none are better none are worse depend on what you have in your machine.

You should post your system specs Maxim (Power suply, Motherboard precisely), so we don't make you buy something that won't work proprely.

Edit: Beside the HD5670 there's the Nvidia solution GTS 250 which is 60% to 70% more performant than the HD5670, however it doesn't support DX11, if you want DX11 you could go for the HD5670 but you should get at least a HD5750 or HD5770. Since the HD5670 won't perform too well in DX11. If you have a PSU smaller than 400w/450w (depend on the brand) you should get the AMD/ATI solution since Nvidia uses more energy.

Another AMD/ATI alternative would be the HD4770 which perform better than the HD5670, but doesn't support DX11 again, but as i said it's not like you can play DX11 games at decent settings with the HD5670

To Nicce, the HD5850 is an underclocked version of the HD5870, they do that when they get gpu that run unstable at high frequency. It will overclock well if you're lucky.

Maxim, feel free to do your own research and look for benchmark to make your own opinion.

Regards, Mayer.

The GeForce 210 is extremely weak, if you want a decent (not saying extreme, but decent) for an OK price then get a GTS 250/9800GTX+ (same thing, I think the gts is slightly faster tho)

Even a GT240 would do ok, but it's nothing major

Hope this helps (and I'm more familiar with nvidia products, I'm on nvidia integrated graphics).
