JDMFantasy Performance AE86 Build Thread

July, 28th 2009 - Picked up the car for 600 bucks w/ 94, 400 miles on the odometer. It is a 1985 Toyota Corolla Sport GT-S as it reads in America. How it looked when I bought it... Pics taken by him.













The morning after I brought it home 2 days before my 18th birthday, I was pretty stoaked :)


















Shortly after driving the car, its most apparent problems was the fuel system. The tank had a big hole around the filler neck at the top of the tank and every time I would attempt a turn, I'd experience fuel cut offs all the time and it was very frustrating. That was one of the first major things to be done to the 86 when I got it, though I never had done anything with fuel before.




Tank is out and the 86 now sits for wayyyy to long... :(

HOWEVER

Finally in the spring of 2010 surrrreeouusss shiot started to go done and thus the story begins :)

Sometime in July 2010 - Prepping the car for being towed 100 miles behind a truck at night with no lights...perfect..err



Bodywork began and parts started to pile up... Enjoy some pictures... :P
