VW Rabbit
« on: May 12, 2009, 03:34:36 PM »
I never liked VW,my dad always said it had major electronic failure. My cousin owned a Golf and it only had problems.Anyway, today I saw a VW Rabbit in the streets and omg,it sounded like a little gallardo  :D .Got home, saw they were not that pricy, checked out some videos and comparison, saw some pics.I'm seriously thinking about buying one in 2010/2011 as my first brand new car.I saw some really nice sounding rabbit but I don't know which exhaust would make the sound I want.I would want a sound like this one:

Custom made by USP Motosports and magnaflow tip.Does anything else could do this sound without having custom parts?

07 VW RABBIT Exhaust Sound Performance

Also,is this little lip on the side custom or we can get it somewhere?I know he painted the front and back one black.I know the model will change in 2010 but I would really like to make something simillar to that.

Somebody at my work got one and he said it's just amazing to drive and special.I would like also like to know if something is really bad about that car.None of my friend are planning to get one in the future so I could be the only one to have one :) The 2010 model is really nice(and even nicer than the current one IMO)

No, just stating facts.

If the new VW Polo will come to N. America with the diesel version, I definitely will get it as a daily driver. Looks nice, small, cheap on gas.

I would never tune a VW.

With the downsizing going on i wouldn't even try to tune a vw. The 1.4l Twin Turbo's are pushing 172hp and if you ask me. It's enough. Especially for daily driving. I drove a 1.4l Twin Turbo with 130hp and the average i got was 5l/100km. So they're really cheap on gas too.. Depends on your wallet though. I asked about the price and he said it's around 30k €

That tuned one looks pretty nice, but you have to put a mucho into that!

Keep waiting for S3 and simulation improvement, meanwhile I'm living my life

those are really nice to drive, I drove one at drivers license school.
easy to drive, nice inside, but I couldnt hear the engine at all, kind of scary.
(Golf 6 09)
I like those cars. :) but dont want one, because every new taker on drives license got one here in sweden.

I had the same problem, i was passing a car and then i looked at the rpm's and it was at 4k already. Didnt notice it at all so it's kinda lame because i dont want to stare the RPM counter like 24/7.
