Japan Quake Weighs on Financial Markets

Quote
TOKYO (Reuters) – Toyota Motor Co (7203.T) said it has halted production at two factories with combined annual capacity of 420,000 small cars built mainly for overseas markets, after a massive earthquake hit Japan the previous day.

Toyota, Japan's biggest carmaker, said it had not decided when it will restart either facility.

Managers at the plants, one in Iwate prefecture and the other in Miyagi prefecture, the areas hardest hit by Friday's quake and subsequent tsunami, has evacuated personnel, so the current state of the facilities is unknown, Toyota said.

Nissan Motor (7201.T) said that it had halted output at four plants in northeast Japan and close to Tokyo and suspended work at an operation center. The factories will stay idle Sunday and Monday, it said.

Staff at locations close to the coast were evacuated, while employees at other facilities were urged to remain on site. Two workers at a plant in Tochigi prefecture were slightly injured by the quake, Nissan said.

Honda Motor (7267.T), Japan's No. 3 carmaker, said four of its domestic plants and a research and development center will stayed shuttered on Monday.

Very sad thing really, my thoughts do go out to everyone in Japan who are suffering, or may be suffering anywhere else the Quake/Tsunami affected!

Heres a strange thing, not sure how true it is, the day it happened, on the Mayan calendar, the 11th March is '3 Mulic', which actually means water or moon, weird how a Tsunami would happen, even if it was caused by a quake? :-X (sorry if someone has already mentioned this)

Feel sorry for Japan.
It looks even worse than I've seen in movies, even hard to believe it really happened or is happening. Just going through BBC, reading those articles and watching videos, looks very unreal.
Looks like it really is going to be the end of the world in 2012/13. They are saying, that next year we are going to have even more natural calamities all around the world and the worst thing is that nothing can be done, since nobody, nobody can fight against nature. It's too late...and I've heard for the next few days there is supposed to be another quite big earthquake which might cause another tsunami in Japan, so it might not have ended yet.

BTW, found this while going through internet: 9/11/01 + 3/10/11 = 12/21/12 (I doubt it's a coincidence.)

Just read the news that Nuclear power plants fuel bars are fully exposed to the air, and now everyone are worried that the fuel bars can melt and cause the Nuclear power plants total explosion. :(

and another thing...more of an off-topic from Japan - closer to the Mayan calendar and the doom's day

i think everyone here have heard that at the 19th March, moon will come at it's closest to the earth ever in history..cause of that some of the scientists say, that that will cause more disasters like what hapend here in Japan and Volcanos eruptions all over the world.. hmm i'm starting to believe that the end of mayan calendar means the end of man kind... :( hope it's not like that...

Link about the Moon - http://www.atoncenews.com/19-march-moon.html

p.s. tnx mouseman for the link

I'm really sorry for japan. They are very unlucky. They were very well prepared for a big earthquake but something even worse happened to them.THAT ****ING TSUNAMI!
I'm just trying to imagine what would happen if this happens in Greece which is also a country with many earthquakes..
Here 3 richters(idk how it's spelled) are enough to destroy everything.

P.S.Can somebody explain me what exactly is this white shadow around @ 0:08 at the middle of the screen?

No offence, but that's just ridiculous paranoia imo. What 9/11 has to do with end of the world? Just another terrorist/government attack caused by group of idiots, why don't you count in the Madrid and London attacks aswell and try to figure out some more numbers.

You should watch a movie called "23".
