the G92 8800GTS (512 mb) are better than the 8800GT's 512.

but the 8800GT 512 mb is better than the 8800GTS 320

its kinda like..

256mb 8800GT < 320 mb 8800GTS
512mb 8800GT < 512 mb 8800GTS (the g92)

the 9800GTX is g92, and 8800GTS g92's 512 can oc' to 9800GTX specs.

but if you bought an OC'ed edition already.. you cant really overclock much more, unless u start changing fans and etc.

exactly, everything that's not G92 or never is something from nvidia you shouldn't buy...

but if you want perfomance for less money you'd want to buy an ATI... the price/performance ratio on them is amazing atm!

.. though there is the kind of people that buy nvidia cards just because "ATI sucks"... even though they've never used a pc with a newer amd/ati gpu

I've broke 2 ATI cards so I'm staying away from them  ;) Since I'm with Nvidia,I've broke 0 cards.

Well, I could've gotten a ATI card, for the money I had in mind (around $200) it was either a 9series nvidia, or a 3/4 series ati.
but i got my 8800gts for $120 .. :)

At the moment, Intel's are better CPU's and ATi's have the best performance for the buck.
I was probably gonna get the 9800GTX, as I'm a Nvidia fan. :)
But if I was building a PC for someone, and they'd want best performance for the buck, would be intel + ATI

I run it on High as well

3.5mb ram DDR 1066 (i have 4, but xp only sees 3.5)
Q9450 - Oc'e at 3.0ghz
8800GTS G92 512MB

I get around 30-35 and of course in the easy spots such as inside houses it goes higher..
but out in the jungle i get like 35.

When I was on top of the mountain looking at the village im about to attack (at the beginning of the game). it got down to like 28-29.
but otherwise its decently playable.

check here, its pretty interesting.
