Welcome to LFSdrift Community!
to add a little depth to your skin, make sure the original skin from LFS is on the top layer and change the blending mode to multiply. Of course, this only applys to photoshop users... Also, when you start your skin, try looking around for a design you like. Try not to look in LFS, but at real cars. See how they place decals, how they draw out body lines with simple curves and shapes, notice the color combinations, things like that. This will enable you to create a unique skin that is 100% you. Try not to complicate things as well. You will see designs like the JDMF skins that have 3573526 different colors and shapes and think "WOW! THATS AWESOME! I CAN DO THAT!" Well, its not as easy as you think. You have to make sure each piece of the skin works together to create a unified design. Once you start adding to many colors it becomes that much harder to maintain a uniformed design and concept. The JDMF skins are what I like to call "organized chaos." There are tons of colors and shapes and design elements going on at one time. But it is not overwhelming due to the use of design and control. It takes a lot of practice and experimenting to gain total control over your designs. So keep at it and take your time. Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day
