Compression. Video quality (youtube)

Hey gyes, i have a question.

What codec (maybe format?) i need to achieve best quality on youtube?

LFSdrift Competition - BIG Angle.

A quality of this vid is very bad, isn't it? On my computer it looks very cool.

There are i used .avi format, xvid codec.

Also found on youtube this:

I want to learn,how i can do it better looks like mostors of vids  :)

I have the same question.
But i have an answer. DO NOT USE YOUTUBE, use VIMEO, because he's better in all conditions.  ( i use vimeo rearly, because when i turn on HD, the video streaming LAG HARD. Because of my old PC.)

Maybe it is the video format? Like divx format or wmv..

I have an opinion. Maybe he bought the youtube premium account, so that's why he gets better QUALITY ever. ????
