Judging and Qualification Information

Judging and Qualification Information

Qualifying

Qualifying will be held 1 week before each round.  The server will be passworded 1 hour before qualifying starts on the weekend.  Qualifying will be on Saturday and Sunday, and the server will be open for 3 hours each day for the Qualifying.

   • The server for qualifying will only be for qualifying, NOT for practice
   • You will get 3 runs, and will only be allowed to pit once, when you do it though is your decision
   • Each run will be judged, and the best run will be the one scored
   • You may only qualify in ONE of the sessions to be fair
   • The Top 32 (yes, 32!) will be positioned into the bracket for Tandem battles the next weekend

Judging for Qualifying

Four good drifters in LFS will be judging this competition, so accurate judging will be guaranteed.  Five (5) things will be looked upon during qualifying, and will be studied very hard.  Each run will be scored out of 100, the judging criteria is listed below:

   • Angle: 20
   • Speed: 20
   • Line: 20
   • Smoothness: 20
   • Style: 20

Tandems

Tandems will consist of the Top 32 from qualifying from the week before.  The brackets will be split into two (2) from qualifying, the odd numbered qualifiers will be placed into bracket 1, and the even numbered qualifiers will be placed into bracket 2.  Nothing is changed using this format, it just makes everything easier to setup and read.

   • Each battle will consist of two runs, and will be judged out of 10.
   • If after both runs the scores are the same, two (2) runs of sudden death will be held

What cars can we use? Are supers at front allowed? If not when why not, in real life people use high grip tires at front in comps.
